West, Raymond R., age 79 of Cedar Avenue, Moundsville, WV passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV.

He was born January 29, 1932 in Moundsville, the son of the late Arthur and Florence Lemons West.

He was a Korean Conflict Air Force Veteran; retired from the former Allied Chemical/LCP, Moundsville; a member of First Christian Church, Moundsville where he served as Deacon and Elder; a long-time scoutmaster with Moundsville Boy Scout Troop #80; a member and past Worshipful Master of Marshall Union Lodge #8 AF & AM; a member of Osiris Shrine; Moundsville Lions Club, and Knights of Pythias; he was an avid golfer and long-time member of Moundsville Country Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Betty West; a brother, James West; three sisters, Ethel Howard, Lenna O'Brien, and Edith Drake.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah "Bea" West; children, Kim (Bev) West of Wheeling, Greg West of Moundsville, Brad (Cindy) West, and Brenda (Brad) Robinson all of Wheeling; step-children, Harriet (Bob) Meade, Zoe (Jeff) Morris, Rox (Beth) Simmons, and Suzanne Goodhart, all of Moundsville; grandchildren, Rick (Carrie) West of Moundsville, Keri (Kris) Adams of Greenfield, IN, Greg West, Matt (Savannah) West, of Moundsville, Jeff West of McMechen, WV, Mike West of Pittsburgh, Chad West of Alexandria, VA, and Brianne West of Moundsville; step-grandchildren, JB (Stephanie) Meade, Kiley Meade, and Zoe Meade, all of Moundsville, Alicia (Brian) Reeves, RW Simmons, all of Newport News, VA, Jeffrey Morris of Pittsburgh, Bria Morris, and Tracey (Mark) LeMasters, all of Moundsville, and Amy (Jim) DiPialo of Philadelphia; numerous great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including, Ronny (Patricia) Richmond, Belpre, OH, Dorothy Monohan of Aurora, OH, and Bud Howard of Illinois

Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
