Ostrander, Paul E., Sr. “Book”, 74, of Foliage Drive, Moundsville, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at home.

     He was born May 3, 1937 in Wheeling, the son of the late Jess B. Ostrander, Sr. and Elsie Frazier Ostrander.

     He was a retired coalminer from McElroy Mine; Methodist by faith; a member of Marshall County Antique Power Association, and he loved to listen to and sing country music.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings.

     Survivors include his wife Linda Holmes Ostrander; two sons Jim (Shelley) Ostrander of Proctor, Paul E. (Jody) Ostrander, Jr. of Moundsville; four daughters Lucretia (Richard) Maine, Linda (Tim) McGinnis, Sr. all of Proctor, Rebecca A. Goudy of Moundsville, April Ostrander at home; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; four brothers Jess B. (Geraldine) Ostrander, Jr. of St. Clairsville, OH, Loren (Sally) Ostrander, Robert Ostrander all of Moundsville, John (Barbara) Ostrander of Neffs, OH; three sisters, Carolyn Piatt of Elyria, OH, Latrisha (Vern) Trigg of Neffs, OH, Sharon Heath of Moundsville; mother-in-law, Mary Holmes; a brother-in-law Donald Holmes of Moundsville; several nieces and nephews.

     Family will receive friends Sunday from 12noon-3 and 6-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00am with Rev. Harry Midcap officiating.

     Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard, WV.
