Magnone, Elizabeth Ann Ferris, age 91 of Moundsville, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at Liza’s Place, Wheeling surrounded by her loving family.

   She was born November 9, 1920 in Moundsville, the daughter of the late Abdo H. and Zaid Hawa Ferris.

   Libby was Co-Founder and Owner of Jozabeth’s Inc., formerly The Ferris Shoppe, since 1937. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville and Our Lady of Lebanon, Wheeling.

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers: George, Louis, John and Abdo “Ted” Ferris; five sisters: Nancy Coffield, Josephine Ferris, Bess Garcia, Dorothy and Virginia Ferris.

   Survivors include two daughters: Mary Zaid (William) Stees of Wheeling and Libby G. Magnone of Moundsville; one son: Nick (Arlene) Magnone of Moundsville; one brother: Thomas A. Ferris of Moundsville; one sister: Isabel Ferris Wolfe of Johnstown, PA; six grandchildren: Shar J. (Mike) Mason, Nick (Lacey) Magnone, Josie (Mark) Fertig, Caroline (Josh) McDowell and Patrick and Gina Stees; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

   At the family’s request there will be no visitation. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville with Fr. Edward Stafford and Msgr. William D. Bonczewski as co-celebrants.

   Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
