Sandridge, Ilene, age 80, of Proctor, WV, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 as a result of complications from a blood disorder at Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville, WV.
She was born July 8, 1931 in Roanoke, WV.
Ilene was a retired art teacher for Wetzel County Schools and a Methodist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Harrison Mahon and Virgie Marsh Mahon.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Robert Sandridge; two sons, Michael (Mary Alice) Sandridge of Christchurch, New Zealand and Brian (Sheryl) Sandridge of Solon, Ohio; three daughters, Jennifer (Alex) Kilanski of Warrenton, VA, Becky (Herb) Rawlings of Newburgh, IN and Susan (Marty) Siebken of Stuarts Draft, VA; a sister, Rosalea Cole of Jay, NY; 12 grandchildren, Spencer and Suzanne Sandridge, Erin and Geneva Sandridge, Matthew, Eric and Allison Kilanski, Mark, Brendon and Alan Rawlings, and Adam and Shane Siebken.
A celebration of Ilene's life will be held Sunday February 19, 2012 from 1 - 4 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St. New Martinsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to West Liberty University, or to Wetzel County EMS, P.O. Box 515, New Martinsville, WV 26155.
