Mason, Nell O., age 91, formerly of Glen Dale, WV died Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Forest Hills Retirement Center, St. Clairsville, OH.
She was born November 28, 1920 in Thomasville, GA the daughter of the late John and Mary Ella Shepherd Smith.
She was a member of Glen Dale United Methodist Church, where she also attended Sunday school class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Dale" Mason; three brothers, Dozier, J.E., and Dewey Smith; and four sisters, Annie Smith, Beulah Fleetwood, Mary Ella Smith, and Lucy Lovelace.
Survivors include three daughters, Lynn (John) Hellstern of Wheeling, WV, Mary Ann (Ron) Hensley of White Sulpher Springs, WV, and Sue (Neil) McElroy of Silver Spring, MD; three grandchildren, Andrew Dale Slezak of White Sulpher Springs, David Edward (Janis) Slezak of Woodbridge, VA, and Meredith Hellstern and her husband, Rick Hogg of Richmond, VA; three great-grandchildren, Joseph and Lillian Grace Slezak, and John Dana; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 10am until time of funeral service at 12 noon at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Glen Dale United Methodist Church, 700 Wheeling Avenue, Glen Dale, WV 26038.
