Hart, Vada G., age 86, of New Martinsville, WV, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at her daughter's residence in New Martinsville.

She was born July 31, 1925 in Wellington, KS, the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth Anderson Thompson.

Vada was a 4-H Leader for 30 years and a member of the Homemakers Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell L. Hart in February 2003; five brothers, Edward Jr., Wayne, Ted, Loren and Floyd Thompson; two sisters, Dorothy Brinkerholph and Leota Summerville; and a grandson, Jason Carl White.

Survivors include a son, Greg Hart of New Martinsville; four daughters, Myra Hart and Lynnda Bridgeman, both of New Martinsville, Patricia McMahan of Knoxville, TN and Kathy Longwell of Woodsfield, OH; five grandchildren, Megan Bridgeman, Joshua White, and Stephen, Justin and Haley McMahan; five great grandchildren, four nephews, James Thompson of Concord, NC, Leon Summerville, Lane Summerville and David Thompson of Parkersburg, WV; and a niece, Debbie Thompson of Rochester, NY.

Graveside services and interment will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV with Evangelist Edward Melott officiating.
