Lilley, Kenny R., Jr., age 31 of Walnut Avenue, Moundsville, WV died Sunday, July 25, 2010 in Orlando, FL.
He was born June 27, 1979 in Wheeling, WV the son of Kenneth Ray and Carlotta “Carrie” Knox Lilley.
He was a 1997 graduate of JMHS; a US Navy veteran; attended WVNCC, and was currently a student at Marine Mechanics Institute, Orlando; an avid fisherman and hunter; a member of Marshall County Hunting and Fishing Club; and Hillview Terrace Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, S. Russell Knox; paternal grandfather, Emerson Lilley; and an aunt, Cathy Lilley.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughter, Kenna Lilley; a brother, Keith Lemons and his fiancé, Shelley Guthrie of Moundsville; a sister, Kera (Matt) Allietta of Triadelphia, WV; maternal grandmother, Hester Knox of Moundsville; paternal grandmother, Kathleen “Babe” McKimmie of Moundsville; three aunts, Debbie (Joe) Wagner, Cleta (Gary) Fecat, and Vicky Lilley; two uncles, Dave (Cathy) Knox, and Larry (Phyllis) Lilley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private Services and Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Jennings, Mildred Frances Powell, 84, of Maple Avenue, New Martinsville, WV, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at the New Martinsville Care & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 25, 1926 in New Martinsville, the daughter of the late Ralph and Roxie Maddox Powell.
Mildred was a Christian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Paul “Gene” Jennings; two brothers, Frank M. Powell and Delbert E. Powell; and a sister, Isabelle N. Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia “Pat” Craycraft and her husband Michael “Mike” of New Martinsville; two grandsons, Michael “Tony” and his wife Stephanie Craycraft of Alabaster, AL and Patrick “Joe” and his wife Marsha Craycraft of Wheeling, WV; great grandchildren, Laikyn Craycraft of Woodsfield, Ohio, Brady, Hayden and Cooper Craycraft of Alabaster, AL, Emma and Sarah Craycraft of Wheeling, WV; and an old time friend, Ephraim Wade of New Martinsville.
The family wants to express heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at the New Martinsville Care & Rehabilitation Center.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am until time of funeral service at 1:00pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, with Rev. Melissa Shortridge officiating.

Brokaw, Ray J., age 86 of N. Marshall St., Benwood, WV died Monday, July 19, 2010 at Peterson Rehabilitation Center, Wheeling, WV.
He was born November 17, 1923 in Terre Haute, IN the son of the late William I. and Mabel E. Jordan Brokaw.
He was a retired general car foreman from the B&O Railroad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Emmajean Brokaw; four brothers, Dewey, William, Vernon, and Oran Brokaw; and infant sister, Irene Brokaw; and two grandsons, Wayne and Daniel.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Barbara Givens Brokaw; two sons, James T. (Diane) Brokaw of Vicksburg, MS., and William H. Brokaw of Jacksonville, FL; two daughters, Barbara Jean (Bruce) Sullivan of Spring Hope, NC, and Rae Jeanne (Bob) Nicholas of Howard, OH; six grandchildren, James and William Brokaw, both of MS, Robby Thomas, and Emma Nicholas, all of OH; and Trudy Sullivan of WV; a step-daughter, Barbie Fuller; a step-granddaughter, Brittany Derr; his beloved dog, Toby; and he will be sadly missed by his neighbor, Joey.

She was born December 24, 1935 in New Martinsville, WV, the daughter of the late Finley and Mabel Riggenbach Ruth .
She was a retired water technician for the City of New Martinsville, a member of the New Martinsville Humane Society and a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in New Martinsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Cozart.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, David Riley; a son, Terry Cozart and his wife, Kathy of New Martinsville; a brother, Ronald Ruth of Girard, OH; a sister, Dorothy Downing and her husband, Roy of New Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Baker, Roger Lee, age 66, of Roberts Ridge, Moundsville, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale.
He was born May 8, 1944 in Glen Dale, WV the son of the late Roy S. and Vaun I. Holmes Baker.
He was a farmer, a glass blower from the former Fostoria Glass Company, a meat cutter for Save-A-Lot, and a member of Cedar Avenue Church of Christ and the West Virginia Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Charlene Leek Baker; a son, Joe Baker of Moundsville; three grandchildren, Justin Harry Baker at home, Bryce Joseph Baker, and Breanna Baker, both of Moundsville; a best friend, Roger (Lorraine) Hubbs of Moundsville; and a good friend, Tina Blake.

He was a retired truck driver with Solid Waste Services.

She was born August 21, 1945 in Wheeling, WV the daughter of the late Evston Elmer and Betty Jane Wilson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bellaire VFW and Eagles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Foster; an infant son, Richard K. Foster; a brother, Ted Wilson; and a sister, Thelma “Toots” Riddle.

Meeker, Jo Ann, age 83, of 7th St., Moundsville, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale.
She was born February 2, 1927 in Captina, WV the daughter of the late Clarence “Hop” and Elsie McHenry Goodrich.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Moundsville for over 60 years having served as Treasurer, Trustee, on the Personnel and Finance Committees, and former choir member.
She was a graduate of Moundsville High School and took banking classes as well as some classes at West Liberty. She was retired from United Bank, formerly First National Bank, after 33 years of service.
She was a charter and still active member of Opus Music Club and the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd B. Meeker, Jr.; a son, Michael Jay Meeker; and two brothers Roger and Robert Goodrich.
Jo Ann is survived by her two sons, Lloyd Bruce Meeker and his wife Beth of Virginia Beach, VA, James Ray Meeker and his wife Jo Ann E. of Glen Dale; seven grandchildren, Todd, Marci, Chris, John, Jennifer, Lance, and Cory; and five great-grandchildren, Logan, Molly, Ali, Mandi, and Scarlett.

He was born February 28, 1946 in Delbarton, WV, a son of the late Ireland and Nancy Ward Marcum, Sr.
He was a retired welder and heavy equipment operator for Ferro Slag in Lorain, Ohio; and a member of Woodsfield Praise Pentecostal Fellowship in Woodsfield, Ohio.
Reather enjoyed anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ireland Marcum, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Wilda Vinson Marcum, whom he married on June 16, 1965; a son, Roger Marcum of Lorain, Ohio; a daughter, Nancy (Dan) Jarvis of Wilmington, NC; a brother, Charles Marcum of Lorain; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was born December 11, 1921 in Rose Valley, Harrison County, OH the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Zomienski Stankiewicz.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lester Wickersham, II; a son, George Stanley Wickersham; two brothers, Stanley and George Stankiewicz; and four sisters, Elizabeth Zuleski, Estella Majewski, Edna Tadey, and Violet Campana.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary K. (Mark) Minor of Moundsville; two grandsons, Matthew (Laura) Minor of Ft. Mill, SC, and Craig Minor of Nashville, TN; two step-sons, Robert Wickersham of AZ, and Howard Wickersham of Nevada; two step-grandsons, David (Misty) Wickersham of CA, Mark (Cinda) Wickersham of OH, their mother, Barbara Wickersham of OH; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Gouldsberry, Robert W. “Bob”, age 79, of Moundsville, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at home.
He was born on February 2, 1931 on Lynn Camp Run, Marshall County, the son of the late Francis R. and Thelma M Cunningham Gouldsberry.
Robert was employed at the Conduit prior to starting his own business, Gouldsberry Cabinet Shop, LC, which he operated with his children until his retirement.
He loved the game of golf and was declared a life member of the Moundsville Country Club in 2004. He also enjoyed spending time at his farm.
Robert served in the US Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Middle Grave Creek Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Margaret and David Kidd; a mother-in-law Ada McCracken; and a son-in-law Terry Simmons.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years Betty J. Carter Gouldsberry; three children Cheryl A. (John) Sears of Cameron, David W. (Darlene) Gouldsberry of Moundsville, and Patricia L. (John) Kulavik of Cameron; a sister Phyllis (Paul) Clark of Moundsville; two brothers Harley (Gertrude) Gouldsberry and Ronald (Nancy) Gouldsberry all of Moundsville; seven grandchildren Robert J. Simmons, Samantha J. Simmons both of Cameron, Megan J. Gouldsberry of Wind Ridge, PA, Kori L. Gouldsberry of Moundsville, Johnathon D. Bopp of Proctor, Amanda K. Klug, and David P. She was a former employee of Conalco; a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #533; and a member of Clarington United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn W. Ollom; and her second husband, Alfred Fankhauser.

He was born July 22, 1976 in Wheeling, the son of Charles Raymond Nickerson of Cameron, WV and Jackie Sovich Nickerson of Jacobsburg.
He was self-employed in construction; and loved cars and motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald “Bud” Sovich; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Geraldine Nickerson.

He was born August 17, 1918 in Columbus, OH the son of the late, Cora E. Workman.
He was the original school bus driver on Fish Creek for Marshall County Schools; a self-employed milk carrier; a life-long farmer in body, mind, and soul; a retired employee from Triangle Conduit PWC, having worked for 37 years; a deacon for Mt. Hobart Baptist Church; attended Graysville United Methodist Church, Fish Creek; and was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two uncles, Charles “Vernie” Workman, and Arthur W. Workman.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, J. Gladys Rine Ruckman; two sons, Marvin E. (Barbara) Ruckman of Fish Creek, and Sheldon R. (Paula) Ruckman of New Martinsville; four grandchildren, Tabitha (Tim) O’Bannon of Virginia, Stacie (Mike) Bandy of Moundsville, Ryann Ruckman of New Martinsville, and Morgann Ruckman-Wells (Will) of Texas; three great-grandchildren; Marshal O’Bannon, Taylor, and Jacob Bandy; two step-grandchildren: Anthony (Flo) Mann of OH and Aaron (Toma) Mann of WV; five step great-grandchildren; a cousin Arthur Ray Workman; two step-grandchildren, Anthony (Flo) Mann of OH, and Aaron (Toma) Mann of WV; and five step-great-grandchildren.

He was born January 15, 1936 in Portsmouth, OH the son of the late Allen R., Sr. and Lola Sexton Jones.
He was a former policeman for Cameron; a security guard in Pittsburgh; and a Christian by Faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: Stanford, Rocky and infant Babe Jones, two sisters: Pauletta Hanavanic and infant Joann Jones.

Maxwell, Ruth E, age 79 of Moundsville died Friday, July 2, 2010 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 4, 1930 in Elm Grove, the daughter of the late Mary Vucelick and granddaughter of the late Nickolai and Anna Vucelick.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she volunteered in her younger days at the Church and also at the Grade School.
She also volunteered to work with the animals before the creation of the animal shelter and was a supporter of the Marshall County Animal Rescue League.
Ruth was quite talented and artistic. She made many beautiful crocheted afghans and ceramic pieces for her family and friends.
She will also be remembered for her culinary ability and sense of humor.
In addition to her mother and grandparents she was preceded in death by her husband: John “Mack” Maxwell and son John “Bub” Maxwell, five uncles and one aunt who were like her brothers and sister.
Survivors include her daughter: Pam Maxwell of Moundsville; sister-in-law: Dorothy Maxwell of Moundsville; daughter-in-law: Debby Maxwell of Lebanon, OH; grandsons: Jamie and Adam Maxwell of Lebanon, OH; granddaughter: Jody Maxwell of Denver, CO and special cousins who called her “Aunt Ruth”.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville with rosary devotions at 7:00pm.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville with Fr. Edward Stafford, TOR as celebrant.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.

Moore, Jerry Ross, age 74, of Kahle Street, Sistersville, WV, formerly of New Martinsville, WV, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at his home.
He was born January 12, 1936 in Akron, Ohio.
Jerry was the former owner and operator of Van Sickle-Moore monuments and Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville; a member of Bridge Street Church of Christ in New Martinsville; and a U.S. Marine veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight A. and Mildred Harris Moore Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sylvia Smith Moore; three daughters, Teri (Dwight) Williams of New Martinsville, Debra Myers of Sistersville and Susan (Steven) Herrmann of Powell, Wyoming; two sons, James (Linda) Moore of Sistersville and Michael (Eva) Moore of New Martinsville; a brother, Thomas (Ginny) Moore of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Judith (Dennis) Villers of Ocean Springs, MS; a half brother, Christopher Moore and two half sisters, Melinda King and Cathy Glover; eight grandchildren, Sarah Myers, Nicholas Herrmann, Kristopher Herrmann, Zachary Cathers, Journey Cathers, Skyler Cathers, Danielle Moore, and Ashley Moore; and a great grandchild, Trey Fluharty.

She was born April 15, 1931 in Jersey City, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Frederick and Veronica Hogan Schober.
She was a retired store clerk; and a member of the New Martinsville Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Frank Mulligan.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis Keith Mulligan of New Matamoras, OH, Kevin Byran Mulligan of Middlebourne, WV and Daniel (Kimberly) Mulligan of Proctor.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

He was born April 5, 1936 in Stewartsville, OH the son of the late Clark Chester and Esther Blanche Anderson White.
He was a retired Auto Body Mechanic; a member of Solid Rock Assembly of God, Moundsville; enjoyed golfing, fishing, helping people, doing home projects, gardening, and he loved his John Deere tractor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John David White; and a sister, Patricia Ann Piper.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Janice Daly White; two sons, Russell A. “Rusty” White, Jr. of Vienna, VA, and Clark (Samantha) White of McMechen; a daughter, Sylvia Jean Kinsley of Morgantown, WV; two step-sons, Timothy J.
