Thomas “Bingo” Edward Binkowski, 65, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on August 27th, 2024 in Morgantown, WV. He was born on January 17th, 1959 in Wheeling, WV to the late Bernard and Stephanie (Gorczyca) Binkowski. Tom was a retired electrician and a member of the IBEW Local 141. He was also a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and the PAP Club. Tom was a fierce defender of his girls, a loving husband and an incredible father. He was always encouraging to his girls, and reminded them they could always do anything they wanted as long as they set their mind to it. Two of Tom’s favorite sayings were “Do something, even if it’s wrong” and “Open that door and close it right.” Tom was a selfless friend who never knew a stranger. So much so that every grocery trip would take 2 hours in every town he visited because he had to become friends with the butcher. Tom never felt anything half way and loved those around him deeply. He was incredibly full of life, and his sense of humor and wit were unmatched. He was a storyteller extraordinaire and an avid lover of pickle ball and fishing. He would drop everything to help his friends and family and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Even in death, Tom’s last act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David “Scooter” Binkowski and Brian “Omar” Binkowski. Tom’s spirit will live on through his wife of 32 years, Christine (Zombek), his two daughters, Stephanie (Grant Phillips) of Arlington, WA and Jessica “J Bird” Yahnke (Ian) of Cold Spring, KY, as well as many other family members and friends. In addition to his wife and daughters, Tom had a deep love for all of the animals in his life. His dog Blaze, who is a spitting image of him. His grand puppies, Cam, Duffy and Marley who got to be loved by him. As well as his grand kitty, Hyde, who held a special place in his heart. No formal services will be had, but a celebration of life at a later date to be determined by Tom’s family. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling.
