Miller, Pierre Byron “By”, age 74 of Virginia Park Rd., Wheeling, WV died Friday, July 6, 2007 at home. He was born September 2, 1932 in Marshall County, the son of the late Pierre and Edna Gatts Miller. He was retired owner/operator of Miller’s Office Products, a US Navy Veteran, a member of The American Legion, Blake Brothers Post No. 46 and the Warwood Veterans Association. Pierre was a Past Master of Bates Lodge #33 A.F. & A.M.; a 32° Scottish Rite Mason; a member of the York Rite, R.A.M., Wheeling Union #1 and Knights Templar, Commandery 1, Wheeling; Osiris Shrine, A.A.O.N.M.S. of Wheeling; the El Tor Grotto where he served as a Trustee; and the Mt. Olivet Lions Club. He was an avid bowler having been installed in Wheeling Men’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame, where he served as a Director, Secretary of the Midweek Bowling League at Elm Grove Lanes for 43 years, had served as a Field Director for Pony Baseball in Washington, PA where he was also installed in their Hall of Fame, and a member of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Jean Miller and Hilda Bussard. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Shirley Reinbeau Miller; a son, Douglas E. Miller of Wheeling; a brother, William Dale (Noreen) Miller of Moundsville; father and mother in law, Jack and Dorothy Reinbeau of Wheeling; a brother in law, Jack (Sharon) Reinbeau of AR; two nephews, Dr. Duane (Tiffany) Miller and Kelly (Amanda) Miller all of Moundsville. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville and on Monday from 10 – 11am at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Fairmont Pike, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11am with Pastor Linda Glass officiating. Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Osiris Temple, Monument Place, Wheeling, WV 26003, American Cancer Society, 58- 16th Street, Wheeling, WV 26003, or a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
