Myers, Dorothy Mae Blake, 89, of Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville formerly of Fork Ridge, WV and Pleasant Valley, WV died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Acuity Specialty Care, Bellaire, OH. She was born March 28, 1921 in Limestone, the daughter of the late Gladys Blake Davis. She was a member of the Cedar Ave. Church of Christ and Limestone Senior Citizens. In addition to her mother, she was preceded on death by her husband Ralph E. Myers, two sons Roger and Melvin Myers, two grandchildren Amy Jo and Fred Myers, two great-granddaughter Kimberly Parsons, and Brittany Sue Myers; and a son-in-law John Vawter. Survivors include two sons Wayne (Patty) Myers of Glen Easton, David (Sandy) Myers of Terra Haute, IN; two daughters Connie (Leonard) Parsons of Proctor, Shirley Vawter of Grandfield, OK; a sister June (Ralph) Carpenter of Virginia; four brothers Bobby (Betty) Davis, Paul (Thelma) Davis, George C. Davis all of Moundsville, Donny (Shirley) Davis of Warren, OH; daughters-in-law Marlene Myers of Glen Easton, Karen Myers Crow of Moundsville; 24 grandchildren; R. Dwayne (Raquel) Myers of Colorado Springs, CO, Monna (Tom) Rush of Beckley, WV, Carol (Randy) Minor of Moundsville, Lisa (Doug) Minor of Benwood, Edward (Angela) Myers of Forrest, VA, Rebecca (David) Teel of Eastman, GA, Juanita (Brian) Baker of Beaver, WV, Crystal (Paul) Shockley of Sardis, OH, Kenneth (Lila) Myers of Alexandria, VA, Wayne, Jr. (Tonya) Myers of Palmyra, TN, Glen (Dixie) Myers of Andover, OH, Doug (Pam) Myers of Glen Easton, WV, Richard Myers of Matton, IL, Leroy (Kimberly) Parsons of Moundsville, Regina (Lee) Miller of Proctor, WV, Belinda Parsons of Moundsville, Shelly Parsons of Union City, IN, Karen (Evan) Hoover of Charleston, SC, J. Kevin (Maribel) Vawter of Albuquerque, NM, Justin (Allison) Vawter of Dallas, TX, Jeremy Vawter of Grandfield, OK, Alicia (Brian) Myers of Moundsville, Nicole Myers of Cameron, and Brianna (Todd) Biddle of Connersville, IN; 56 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9pm and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where services will be held on Saturday at 1:30pm with Evang. Brian Price officiating. Private interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, Moundsville.
