Our Beloved mother Nancy S. Ward Rush age 83, of Sardis, OH, went to be with her lord and savior on March 23, 2022, at WVU Camden Clark Hospital, Parkersburg. She was born May 15, 1938 in Archers Fork, OH, the daughter of the late Orian and Adda (Hutchison) Ward. Nancy was passionate about many things in her lifetime. She was a loving wife and homemaker who loved to plant her flowers, bake her cream pies, gardening, watching birds, playing games and spending time with her family, especially the family reunions on the 4th of July, Labor Day and Christmas. In her younger years, Nancy sang gospel music with Frank Hinkle (Arlena) and friends. Nancy was an avid Cleveland Indians, Ohio State, and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was a very proud American and never gave up hope that Donald Trump would be president again one day. She loved sitting on her porch swing, watching the Waltons, the Gaithers, TBN and Fox News, especially Fox & Friends. On December 31, 1963, she married the love of her life, Clarence Hoover Rush, who preceded her in death, December 10th, 2003. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, George (Steve) Lallathan; her brothers, Robert (Lillie) Ward and Thomas Ward; sisters, Ruthie (Melvin) Lovett, Marie (Jerry) Jenks, Mary (George) Burns; brother-in-law, John (Ruth) Rush and Homer Blair. She is survived by her children, Tina (Roger) Midcap of New Martinsville, WV, Clarence (Matt) Rush of Sardis, OH, Bonita (Randy) Knowlton of New Matamoras, OH, and Mary Lallathin of Sardis, OH; grandchildren, Kirsti (John) Stewart, Logan (Kamdra) Rouse, Dominic Knowlton, Emily (Eugene) Lang, Megan Knowlton, Townsend Midcap, Kiera Rush, Alex Midcap, Lane Rush, and Devon Knowlton; great grandchildren, Eben Turner Stewart, Julian Michael Meehan, William Asher (Liam) Lang and Emmett Foster Stewart; brother, Jerry (Patsy) Ward; sister, Margie Blair; sister-in-law, Karen (Kay) Ward; several nieces, nephews and cousins; bonus daughter, Patty (Don) Schoonover and several close friends. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8 pm at the Living Water Baptist Church, 37453 Fifth Ave., Sardis OH, where services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am with Pastor James Ng and Pastor Rex Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home Sardis.
