Alberta Morris, age 90, of Moundsville, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. She was born February 28, 1931 in Moundsville daughter of the late Howard and Ruth Lancaster Kernan. Alberta was a former Practical Nurse, a Methodist by faith and a member and past president of the Eagles Auxiliary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband: Russell Plants; second husband: Stacy Morris; one son: Russell “Bud” Plants; three brothers: John, Bill and Howard Kernan, Jr.; one sister: Dorothy Berisford and a grandson: Jimmy Holmes. Survivors include three daughters: Mary Plants, Judy Plants and Patricia Derrow all of Moundsville; one brother: Charles Kernan of Moundsville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-6pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am with Pastor William Henthorn officiating. Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard.
