Delbert “J.R.” Neely, age 80, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville. He was born September 22, 1940 in Marshall County, WV, the son of the late Delbert Neely and Olive Rush Williams. He was a self-employed farmer and an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Neely; sister, Darlene Simms; and half-brother, Richard Williams. Survivors include two sisters, Deloris (David) White of Paden City, WV and Virginia Moore of Poplar Bluff, MO; twelve nieces and nephews and a good friend, Christopher McAdams. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory New Martinsville.
