Earnie R. “Salbo” Johnson, age 89 of Moundsville, WV passed away, Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at home. He was born June 5, 1931 in Lang, WV the son of the late Ernest Albert and Carrie Morris Johnson. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran, having served in the Pacific Rim battles with the 7th Division, 32nd Infantry Regiment, Company C: and worked with B&O Railroad, PPG Industries; and Local Union #809. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Kimble Johnson; three sisters; and five brothers. Survivors include a sister, Barbara Johnson Nice of New Martinsville, WV; a step-son, Robert (Janet) Kimble; four step-grandchildren, DeeDee, Richard, Bobby, and Heidi, all of Rayland, OH; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:30pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville with Pastor Larry Jenkins officiating and the Sistersville VFW Post 6327 Honor Guard conducting Military Graveside Services. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, Moundsville.
