Elizabeth “Jean” Potts, age 92, formerly of Moundsville, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling. She was born November 15, 1927 in Moundsville, WV, daughter of the late Mike and Susan Gladura Romanoski. She was a homemaker, a former employee of Marx Toy Plant, a former linotype operator for the Moundsville Journal, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert “Bob” Potts; two brothers: Andrew and Glenn “Doc” Romanoski; two sisters: infant Agnes Romanoski and Mildred Lipovec, and an infant granddaughter: Christina Potts. Survivors include one daughter: Patricia (Gary) Timko of Moundsville; one son: Michael (Mary Ann) Potts of Follansbee, WV; five grandchildren: Michael (Jenny) Potts, Robert (Anne Marie) Potts, David (Sarah) Potts, Gary Timko and Alicia Timko (Raja) Patel; seven great-grandchildren; one sister: Edna Novel of Glen Dale, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to sincerely thank the Good Shepherd Nursing Home staff on 3 Center for the exceptional care and kindness they gave Jean for the past 3 years. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenlawn Cemetery, Moundsville. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 610 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, WV 26041.
