James H. Sidenstricker, age 84, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at his home He was born June 22, 1937 in Sistersville, WV, the son of the late Edward and Zola (Lazear) Sidenstricker. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Seminole. Jim was retired from Bayer Corporation and worked at Shouldis Department Store prior to working at Bayer. He was owner of Alisha Custom Cut Glass. Jim was an active member and officer of AA for over 20 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #931 and American Post #28 in New Martinsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Joseph Sidenstricker; three brothers, Edward Jr, Pete, and Dean Sidenstricker; one sister, Shirley Gilmore. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Wanda (Pyles) Sidenstricker; son, James “Ed” (Pamela) Sidenstricker, of Henderson, NV and daughter Vicki Estel of New Martinsville; four grandchildren, Alisha Estel, Danielle Sidenstricker, Kayla Sidenstricker and Rylan Sidenstricker; one brother, Ronald (Linda) Sidenstricker of Sardis, OH; two sisters Mary (David) Cooper of Hannibal, OH and Diane (Scott) Alexander of Albemarle, NC; several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Lewis Wetzel Family Center 20 E. Benjamin Dr. New Martinsville, WV.
