    Mary Lee Thompson Baum

    October 31, 1925 - March 3, 2022

    Mary Lee Thompson Baum, age 96 of Moundsville, WV died Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale. She was born October 31, 1925 in Littleton, WV the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Jennie Lea Villers Crow. She was a retired cook from John Marshall High School, having worked for 21 years; during WWII she was “Rosie the Riveter” at Louis Marx Shell Factory; a member of First Christian Church, Moundsville, where she taught Sunday School for 23 years; and she enjoyed bowling and golfing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Charles “Red” Thompson; 2nd husband, Carl E. Baum; two brothers, Alfred Joseph Crow and Henry Homer Crow; a sister, Betty Jean Hafer; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Martin. Survivors include a son, Mike (Pam) Thompson of Moundsville; a sister, Donna (Donald) Buchanon of Glen Dale; two grandchildren, Todd Thompson of Charleston, WV, and Katie (Alex) Inclan of Glen Dale; three great-grandchildren, Masyn, Inclan, Colin Inclan, and Jaxon Inclan; and several nieces and nephews including, Susan Mason, Cathy Neehouse, Kevin Buchanon and Joe Crow. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenlawn Cemetery, Moundsville with Rev. Wesley Howsare officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 1200 Third St, Moundsville, WV 26041. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, Moundsville.
