Mary Beth “Sis” McKee Cherry, age 80 of Wheeling, WV passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV. She was born September 12, 1940 in Wheeling, WV the daughter of the late William and Genevieve Butler McKee. Mary Beth was involved in the PTA, coached cheering and softball, enjoyed the casinos and playing cards, especially euchre and was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Cherry; a sister, Peggy Varner; and four brothers, Robert, Joseph, Richard, and William McKee. Survivors include three children, William, (Faye) Cherry, Jr., Lori (Steve) Dobyns, and Michael (Mindy) Cherry; two grandchildren, Bethany and Dallas Carmichael; two great grandchildren, Jonathan and Bowen; a brother, James (Linda) McKee; and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with Mary Beth’s wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Rd., Bethlehem/Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to Liza’s Place, 308 Mt. Joseph Rd. Wheeling, WV 26003.
