Mary Jean Frohnapfel age 76, of Moundsville WV formerly of St. Joseph’s Settlement/Proctor, WV passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at her home with her family at her side. She was born December 18, 1943 in Marshall County, WV the daughter of the late Ogal and Edna Edith Gouldsberry Blake. Mary was a retired beautician and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Proctor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Anthony Frohnapfel; a son, Scott Anthony Frohnapfel; two brothers, Joseph and Paul (Carol) Blake; a sister, Gladys (Hoy) Crow. Survivors include, her daughter, Shellie Jean (Mike) Pekula of Proctor; her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Breanna Jean, Scott Anthony and Brooklyn Jean Pekula; a brother, Gerald (Bessie) Blake; a sister, Geraldine Drake all of Moundsville; sister in laws, Hilda Blake and Mary Yaney both of Moundsville, Leona Kirkland and Geraldine Stout both of New Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville with a Vigil Service Monday at 6pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 65 Frohnapfel Lane, Proctor, WV with Fr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant.
