Tributes

Orville L. Huffman, age 89 of Wheeling, WV passed away on June 1, 2021 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling. He was born March 29, 1932 in Wheeling, the son of the late John S. and Lillian Becker Huffman. Orville was a technician for Mobay Chemical with over 25 years of service, a US Navy Veteran, having served in the Korean War and a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mozart. He was a coin collector, an avid WVU and Steeler fan and enjoyed hunting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, John Huffman and three sisters, Gertrude Eikenberry, Jenny Wodesky and Maxine Gantzer. Survivors include his wife of thirty two years, Marion McCulley Huffman; one daughter Orleen Huffman of Wheeling; two sons, Gary (Desiree) Huffman of Austin, TX and Terry (Lisa) Huffman of Wheeling; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Kesley, Carter, Terryn, Mason and Leland; one great- granddaughter, Emery, several nieces and nephews; step-children, Jack (Jayne) Long of St. Clairsville, OH, Dale Long of Pittsburgh, PA and Janice (Ray) McKenzie of Bethlehem, WV. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am until the time of funeral service at 11am at Grisell Funeral Home, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling with Pastor Sean Smith officiating. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2 Richmond Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.
