Roger L. Hammond, age 75, of Clarington, OH, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at the VA Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born December 30, 1946, in Sistersville, WV a son of the late Woodrow and Olive Wagner Hammond. Roger was a retired employee of the former Consolidated Aluminum Hannibal, OH, and an U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Hammond. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda (Aaron) Workman of Sistersville, WV, Beverly (Russel) Lamp of Middlebourne, WV, and Krissy (Scott) Zurek of Cambridge, OH; a stepdaughter, Sheri (Jeff) Robinson of Lewisville, OH; former wife, Darlene Baldwin of Clarington, OH; seven grandchildren, Lindsley Zurek, Zachary Lamp, Shannon Lamp, Mallory Hammond, Lukas Campbell, Chelsea (Kole) Hogue and Colton Robinson; a great granddaughter, Teagan Binegar and a step great grandson, Lane Hogue. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home, 125 Clarinda Drive, Clarington, OH, with Pastor Darla Schnegg officiating and military services Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Clarington Cemetery.
