September 1, 1950 - February 3, 2021
Stanley M. “Stacky” Wojcik, age 70, of Wheeling/Bethlehem went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 1, 1950 in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Stanley J. and Ann Paluch Wojcik. He was a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a graduate of West Liberty State College, with a bachelor’s degree in history education. He was a devout member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He was employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Benwood Plant until its closing, and then as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 2016. He served as a council member for the Village of Bethlehem for 10 years, was a gold card member of the PAP Club in South Wheeling, a little league baseball coach for Bethlehem Baseball, a drummer in many local bands, and an avid Pittsburgh and WVU sports fan. In addition to his parents, Stacky was preceded in death by his father-in-law, William M. Bryan, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 41 years, Beverly B. Wojcik; his greatest gift, his son, Logan B. Wojcik, and his wife, Emily; and his mother-in-law, Helen Bryan. Also surviving are his sisters, Kathy (Ed) Roth, Trish (Jeff) Higgins; a brother, David (Karen) Wojcik; and a brother-in-law, William (Lois) Bryan, Jr.; nieces, Adrienne (Ryan) Richards and their children Ian and Maddox; Anitra (Craig) Long and their children Anissa, Ashtin, and Ariana; Kari Bryan; and Megan (Colton) Wise; nephews, Jarrett Roth (Rusty Owens); Aaron (Jill) Bryan and their son, Oscar; Jordan (Heather) Roth and their children, Emyrson and Kessel; Zachary Higgins (Jaqueline Picache); and Dylan Wojcik. He is also survived by his faithful companion, his dog Ziggy. Stacky was the ultimate family man. He had many great friends and never knew a stranger. He was the embodiment of the phrase, “work hard, play hard,” and was always the life of the party. He had the most infectious smile and laugh, and will always be loved and missed by all that knew him. His life on Earth was a blessing to all, and we look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 2 Allendale Road, Mt. Olivet, with Rev. Fr.
