Violet DiSantis Thomas, age 88 of Moundsville, WV died Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was born August 5, 1932 in Bellaire, OH, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Masciarelli DiSantis. She lived for and loved all of her family; was a homemaker whose passions were painting, sewing, baking, crafting and cooking; and was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Thomas; a brother, Joseph DiSantis, Jr., and a sister, Emily Icenhour. Survivors include three daughters, Sherri (John) Kalkreuth of Wheeling, WV, Mary Jo (Bill) Yingling, and Donna (Perry) West, all of Moundsville; four grandchildren, Cody Eli (Sarah) Nett, Ayla Marie (Ian) Scott, Erika Lee (Chad) Carter, and Leon Preston (Amy) Somers; and three great-grandchildren, Maddux, Braxton, and Jaxon. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation or services. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Kid’s Make-a-Wish Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, Moundsville.
