Ingold, Donald Lewis “Don”, 68, of Foundry Street, New Martinsville, WV, died Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV. He was born May 5, 1940 in New Martinsville, the son of the late Lewis and Emma Blair Ingold. He was a retired shift foreman at PPG Industries; a member of the American Legion Post 28 of New Martinsville; a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, New Martinsville, where he served two missions for the church, one in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and in Owyhee, Nevada; and he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Lewis Edward Ingold. Survivors include his wife, Janet “Carol” Ingold; seven children, Cecil Dewayne Ingold of New Martinsville, Lewis Edward (Angela) Ingold of Virginia, Donna Lucinda Ingold of North Carolina, Donald Lewis (Nicole) Ingold Jr. of Texas, Joseph Bryan (Tabitha) Ingold of New Martinsville, Jeremiah Joseph (Rose) Ingold of Georgia, and Cherri (Chris) Spitzer of New Martinsville; three sisters, Martha Stevens and Shelba (Don) Smithbower, both of Ohio, and Karen Miller of Parkersburg, WV; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 130 Paddock Green Drive, New Martinsville, with President Joseph Ingold officiating. Entombment in Northview Cemetery Mausoleum, New Martinsville, where the Sistersville VFW combined Honor Guard will conduct military services. Memorial contributions may be made to Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, One Medical Center Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301. Don’t count how many years you’ve spent, just count the good you’ve done. The times you’ve lent a helping hand, the friends that you have won. Count your deeds of kindness. The smiles, not the tears. Count all the pleasures that you’ve had, but never count the years!
