Toler, Robert E. “Bob”, age 72 of Washington Ave., Moundsville died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at home. He was born October 21, 1937 in Glen Dale, WV the son of the late James and Maxine McFann Toler. Bob was a US Navy veteran and retired from the US Navy Reserve as Chief Boatswains Mate after serving from 1958 until 1983. He was also retired from the Allied Chemical, North Plant, he was a lifetime member of the Eagles 499, Moundsville, a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, Sherrard, the Earl Francis Post #3 American Legion, Moose Lodge 1087, Navy Enlistment Reserve Association (NERA), T.R.A.C. Ham Radio, where he always enjoyed his conversations with his fellow members. Bob was very Patriotic and had a strong love for his country as well as his country and bluegrass music. He enjoyed spending time and working at his camp on Fish Creek, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and enjoying living life to its fullest. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Harry Oser. Survivors include his wife, of 30 years, Margaret “Margy” Lucas Toler; two daughters: Lori (John) Kestner and Amy Toler all of Moundsville; one step-son: Kevin Games of Smithfield, VA; one step-daughter: Kelly (Jerry) Fischer of Moundsville; two sisters: Bette (Bob) Davis and Silvia Neehouse all of Moundsville; a sister-in-law: Wilma Oser of Wheeling; nine grandchildren: Eric (Christine) Kestner, Jessica (Sam) Kaba, Brian Kestner, Aaron Kestner, Sara Parker, Jessie Parker, Dustin (Darcy) Games, Nicholas Brown and Casey Games; seven great-grandchildren: Hayden, Isaac and Jacob Kestner, Christopher and Michael Games, Hassan and Taliby Kaba and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00–9:00pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am with Rev. John Flynn and Don Chamberlain officiating. Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct Military graveside services.
